CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday evening for a missing Kannapolis man last seen at a barbershop near UNC Charlotte.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kannapolis Police said 82-year-old George Calvin Hines was last seen at the Just For You Barbershop in the Town Center Plaza. Hines was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Police said Hines might have been driving a dark blue 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck with NC license plate FBE-6730.
Hines was last seen to be wearing black dress pants, a purple short-sleeve polo shirt, and black dress shoes. He has short black and white hair with brown eyes.
