Stanley man arrested on trafficking charges

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested a Stanley Man for Trafficking Opiates and possessing cocaine and marijuana on Thursday.

LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested 32-year-old Mario Javon Johnson on Thursday for Trafficking Opiates and possessing cocaine and marijuana.

The arrest came after investigators concluded a three-month long investigation into drug activity at a home near the 6900 block of Old Plank Rd. in Stanley.

According to Narcotics investigators, several types of drugs were believed to have been being sold at the individuals home including cocaine and marijuana. Investigators seized cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a trafficking amount of opioid-based pills from the residence on Thursday.

Johnson, from Stanley, N.C. was charged with one felony count each of Trafficking Opiates by Possession, Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substance. He was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $75,000 secured bond.
