CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Brought into the South Charlotte Dog Rescue from behind an automobile dealership, the found mixed-breed pups were given special names including Audi, Ram, Mercedes and Lexus.
"We went with a car dealership theme," said Danielle Spuler with the South Charlotte Dog Rescue. "Isn't that fun?"
Spuler says the dogs were in trouble, and were saved in the nick of time.
Currently, the pups are in foster care. They've received their first round of vaccination shots, and in three weeks they are set to get another round of shots. After that, they rescue hopes they will be placed in good homes.
"We're hoping to have families lined up for them at that time," Spuler said.
The Rescue is grateful for this happy ending, but reminds everyone to spay and neuter their pets.
