SALISBURY, N.C. — On Monday, Livingston College announced that the school received a $1 million anonymous donation.
While the notable donation would be good news for any college, there is an interesting twist to this gesture of generosity -- this is the third $1 million anonymous donation that the school has received in less than six months!
According to the school's president, Dr. Anthony J. Davis, all three donations were made by the same anonymous donor and all three are unrestricted donations. The first donation came during the school fall homecoming celebration and the second anonymous donation was announced at Livinstone's 145th Founder's Day program in February.
These donations will go towards supporting current and future students and expanding scholarship opportunities. School leaders are also hoping these donations will highlight the school's mission of philanthropy and giving back to the community.
