Born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, Vanna White is a Southern girl at heart

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — You know her, you love her, and you're about to love her even more.

Vanna White, one of America's most well-known TV personalities, is a Southern girl at heart. She was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach and goes back any chance she can.

"I'm a blue jeans, tennis shoes kind of gal," White said.

When she's not spending quality time with her family, she's filming the thousands of episodes of Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak.

White said of all the episodes, you can always count on a new outfit from her.

"Never the same dress twice!"

While the dresses are constantly changing, one thing does remain the same: the dynamic duo's friendship. They've only had one fight, she said.

White doesn't take herself too seriously.

"I get it, I turn letters for a living, I'll be the first to laugh at that," she said.

But she does have a morning ritual, every day since the show started. She calls her father.

"I call my 93-year-old dad every morning to say I love him and he says, 'I love more,'" White said.
