Hornets can't take the Heat in 115-104 loss

Charlotte trailed by over 20 points heading into the fourth quarter.

MIAMI — Six Miami Heat players scored double-digit points as they easily took care of the injury-riddled Charlotte Hornets.

Miami (14-10) led by as much as 21 points at the start of the fourth quarter and cruised to their second win over Charlotte (7-15) in three days. The Hornets pulled within 11 points by the end of the game, but it was too little too late as Miami won 115-104.

Duncan Robinson scored 23 points for Miami. Jimmy Butler had 15 points and 10 assists. Kyle Lowry, Jamal Cain, Thomas Bryant, and Jamie Jaquez Jr. all hit at least 10 points as Miami spread the scoring around.

Charlotte's starting lineup carried almost all of the scoring for the team as some of the team's best players remain sidelined with injuries. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 28 points. Gordon Hayward had 20 points.

Miami kept the heat on with a 35-25 spread in the third quarter keeping them up by 21 points heading into the fourth quarter.

The Heat managed 32 points off of turnovers compared to just 13 points for the Hornets. Rebounds created another lopsided stat in the game. Charlotte had just four offensive rebounds in the game while Miami managed 17.
