Missing 9-year-old found safe, police say

The boy was found Sunday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A missing 9-year-old was found safe Sunday afternoon, CMPD says.

He was last seen at his home in west Charlotte.

H is diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment and may be hard of hearing, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

He left on foot, wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, grey sweatpants and grey sneakers.  He is about 4’11” and has a thin build.
