1 person injured after truck stop fire in Kings Mountain

The building was a total loss, fire officials confirmed.

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A firefighter was hurt after a fire at a truck stop in Kings Mountain, according to the Kings Mountain Fire Department.

The fire happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday at the Kings Mountain Travel Center on Dixon School Road, near Catawba Two Kings Casino. Fire officials told WCNC Charlotte 50 firefighters initially responded to the scene to assist.

The Kings Mountain Travel Center building was a total loss in the fire, officials confirmed. The firefighter that was injured had minor injuries to his leg.
