A Gaston County man was last seen leaving his home in Belmont headed for Charlotte on Tuesday. His car was later found abandoned two counties away

Andrew Douglas Tench, 31, was last seen by his family on March 24 around 11:30 p.m. leaving his home in Belmont.

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Gaston County Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a Belmont man.

Andrew Douglas Tench, 31, was last seen by his family on March 24 around 11:30 p.m. leaving his home in Belmont for Charlotte in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, police said.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in Monroe, according to officers.

Tench is described as a white male, standing at approximately five feet, five inches and weighing about 135 lbs, police said. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
