FORSYTHCOUNTY, N.C. -- It's another legal battle lost for former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield.
On Wednesday, a Forsyth County judge ordered Mayfield and his wife to pay $1 million to a postal carrier, according to that carrier's attorney.
Last April, police said Mary Bolton drove past the No Trespassing and Beware of Dogs signs outside the Mayfield'sCatawba Countyhome to deliver an oversized package.
Bolton was then attacked by the couple's five dogs.
Jeremy Mayfield called off the dogs, helped Bolton into his home and called 911.
No criminal charges were filed but Bolton sued in civil court.
Her attorney told NewsChannel 36 that the Mayfields never showed up for a single court hearing.
