CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A missing teenager from Matthews was found dead Thursday, police confirmed to WCNC Charlotte.
The 18-year-old was last seen leaving Providence High School on Tuesday. She was found Thursday deceased near a shopping center in south Charlotte near the intersection of Rea Road and Interstate 485, according to the Matthews Police Department.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is now investigating her death. Officials say that there is currently no evidence of foul play.
