CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Around 9:45 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 911 received mulitple reports of a vehicle on fire.
The Charlotte Fire Department responded to the scene in the 2400 block of East Independence Boulevard and put the fire out.
Officials say that the fire does not appear to be the result of a crash.
Officers are on scene to assist with traffic control in response to the incident. Inbound Independence Boulevard has one lane open as of 10:30 p.m. Monday.
