CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- For Judy Turner there were a lot more hands to shake and people to greet as she stood on the front stairs of what use to be the Central Church of Little Rock Sunday.

Her church of the last ten years has merged into Renovatus Church, which held services in the now closed Eastland Mall.

As we're blending and coming together in unity and fellowship, I just find it a joy and a pleasure to be a part of this, says Tuner. There are a lot of new faces to get to know. It's wonderful. I think its just an explosion of wonderful possibilities, she continued.

Central Church of Little Rock's Pastor, Chuck Davis, reached out to Renovatus Church a few months, before Eastland Mall was sold.

The merger of the of the two churches has created a congregation or more than 400 members.

The new church had it's first two services Sunday morning.

The service was upbeat and joyful as members united in songs of prasie and whorship.

A brief video was played explaing the origin and mission Renovatus, whose Pastor Martin said started out of the back of his truck back in 2006.

God's blessed us and I just see wonderful things coming out of this, says Turner.
