CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead and another was seriously injured after an incident at a west Charlotte gas station Sunday.
Around 8 p.m., a person was pumping gas at a gas station on Sam Wilson Road near Interstate 85 when they were struck by a car, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department documentation. The person struck by the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Medic.
The driver of the car died by suicide, according to CMPD.
