STATESVILLE, N.C. — Statesville police found a man dead from a shooting in a home early on Sunday morning.
The Statesville Police Department identified the man as 52-year-old Richard Pledger.
Officers found him just before 12:30 a.m. after a caller reported someone was shot in the home on Stewart Court.
The Statesville Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about the shooting to call 704-878-3406.
The department's violent crimes unit and criminal investigations division are working to find out more about what happened.
