South Carolina man wins $100,000 in second-chance drawing

Paul Blackburn claimed his prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,010.

LANCASTER, South Carolina — A Lancaster, South Carolina man entered a second-chance drawing and won a $100,000 prize, the NC Education Lottery announced Friday. 

Paul Blackburn claimed his prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $71,010. 

The Jan. 5 Millionaire Maker second-chance drawing awarded one top prize of $1 million and one prize of $100,000. There were more than 1.4 million entries in the drawing.
