RALEIGH, N.C. — The stage is set for the First Round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs as 16 teams will be competing to be the top team in the NHL. Heading into the post season, Vegas is on Carolina's side as multiple betting sites have listed the Hurricanes with the best odds to bring home the Stanley Cup as of Friday, April 19.

Carolina finished the regular season with a 52-23-7 record, becoming one of six teams in NHL history to post three consecutive 50-win seasons. Although the Hurricanes are making its sixth consecutive playoff appearance, Carolina is looking to end an 18-year drought and bring a trophy back to Raleigh for the first time since 2006.
Carolina will face the New York Islanders in the first round of the 2024 playoffs. Last season the two teams met in the first round where the Hurricanes edged out the Islanders in six games. After advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, Carolina was swept by the Florida Panthers in four.
Game one is at PNC Arena this Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m.
