CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with after being hit by an SUV on I-85 in northeast Charlotte Wednesday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the crash happened at the ramp onto I-85 north from Mallard Creek Church Road around 5:30 a.m. North Carolina Highway Patrol said the victim was walking on I-85 when a person driving a GMC Yukon hit her. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No charges were filed in the case, according to Highway Patrol.
