Lovin' Life Musical Festival attendees can buy discounted transit passes

Charlotte Area Transit System is offering discounted prices on its buses and trains to help music festival ticket holders reach Uptown Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — To promote the use of public transportation during the Lovin' Life Music Festival, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is announcing a special pass for festival attendees.

Now through April 30, customers can purchase a three-day pass for unlimited rides at a price of only $9. For comparison, a day pass for a single day normally costs $6.60 whereas a weekly pass is $30.80.

The $9 price is only available for pre-purchase until April 30. From May 1 through May 3, the pricing rises to $13.

Tickets can be purchased using the CATS-Pass App.

This special pass is good for rides on the CityLYNX Gold Line street car, the LYNX Blue Line light rail, and CATS transit buses. The passes are available for use only between midnight on May 3 and 2 a.m. on May 6. The passes are non-refundable.

The Lovin' Life Music Festival is scheduled to bring musical acts including the Avett Brothers, Post Malone, Stevie Nicks, and Noah Kahan to Charlotte between May 3 and May 5. The Lovin' Life Music Festival released its full music festival schedule earlier this week.
