CONCORD, N.C. â All eyes are on Charlotte Motor Speedway for the big NASCAR race this Sunday. While we don't know who will win the race yet, we know we are winning with the forecast compared to last year!
RELATED: Warm and humid with a few storms
In 2023, a large storm system caused all-day rain both Saturday and Sunday, pushing the entirety of the Coca-Cola 600 to Monday. This was the first time this occurred in the history of the race.
RELATED: 600 postponed because of rain
In 2022, the weather was seemingly perfect! The high reached 80 degrees which is exactly where we should be for mid-late May. The average high in the Charlotte area is 82 degrees.
In 2021 and 2020, the high temperatures peaked in the upper 80s with very little rain. However, no significant issues were reported.
However, there were substantial differences back in 2019. How about no rain with high temperatures in the mid-90s?
