    ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Avery County in North Carolina * WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Common, deeper flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to area streams is developing with lesser impacts to vulnerable property. Expect extensive flooding of farmland, parks, greenways, boat-access areas, and golf courses. Inundation may be several feet deep. Other flood-prone areas will be impacted including low-lying roadways, low-water crossings, underpasses, and parking lots. Several low-water crossings, roads, and bridges may be flooded and impassible, with deeper flows over roadways possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 911 PM EDT, The N Toe River in Newland is rising rapidly due to earlier heavy rainfall. Expect Minor flooding of low- lying areas adjacent to the N Toe River in Newland, including near Pineola St. Drivers are encouraged to avoid flooded roadways and persons near streams need to seek higher ground until the floodwave passes. The N Toe River may continue to rise for the next 30 minutes, causing additional lowland flooding and the flood wave will continue to move downstream impacting low-lying areas near Minneapolis over the next 1-2 hours. - Some locations that may experience flooding include...     ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following county, Watauga. * WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1142 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Dutch Creek, Beech Creek, Brushy Fork, Beaverdam Creek, Hoskin Fork, Grassy Gap Creek, George Gap Branch, Kirby Branch, Laurel Branch, Grassy Creek, Craborchard Creek and Cove Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boone...
