DaBaby gives special performance at Charlotte high school to promote Lovin' Life Music Fest

DaBaby gave Garinger students a surprise performance before Lovin' Life Music Fest organizers donated $10,000 to school's music program.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rapper and Charlotte native DaBaby made a surprise visit to Garinger High School on Monday for a special performance and donation to the school's music program.

DaBaby's appearance was made in conjunction with the Lovin' Life Music Fest, where he will perform. The three-day performance is scheduled for Uptown's First Ward in May. In addition to the surprise performance, Garinger administrators announced that 50 students who were recognized for improved academic performance will receive three-day tickets to the festival

Lovin' Life Music Fest will feature more than 40 artists across different genres. Headline acts include Steve Nicks, Post Malone and Noah Kahan. Other confirmed artists are Infinity Song, The Chainsmokers, Dashboard Confessional, The Beach Boys, Parmalee, the Avett Brothers and Maggie Rogers. The festival's schedule was released earlier this month

The artists will perform on three stages in Uptown's First Ward. Tickets for the event are currently on sale, with a three-day general admission pass starting at $299.

On the Instagram post announcing the schedule, one commenter asked if single-day tickets would be for sale as was previously suggested might happen. The festival replied that organizers are considering releasing some VIP single-day tickets, but that general admission and super VIP tickets "are almost at capacity."

Festival organizers previously said the event is expected to attract 90,000 attendees and has a projected economic impact of more than $30 million for its first year.
