CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The weekend is almost  here! Have you finalized your plans? Our content partners at CLTtoday have you covered with what's happening around town.

Friday, kick off the weekend right, with live music at Ann Springs Close Greenway's gateway canteen. Music kicks off at 6 and runs through 9 tomorrow night. Tickets range from $6-$12. Admission is free for members.

Saturday check out the Charlotte dragon boat race and Asian festival at Ramsey Creek Park on Lake Norman. The festival runs 9 AM to 5 AM.

Then wind down the weekend with a little cool jazz. Saxophonist Kim Waters is taking center stage at 6 AM at the stage door theater at 1:30 north Tryon. Tickets are $47.50.
