Delivery driver shot during carjacking in east Charlotte, police say

The victim was rushed to a hospital and is expected to be OK. No arrests have been made.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A food delivery driver was shot during a carjacking in east Charlotte late Tuesday night, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said. 

According to CMPD, the victim was shot in the leg a little after midnight Wednesday when two suspects stole his vehicle on Baraway Drive near Albemarle Road Park. The victim was taken to a Charlotte hospital by Medic and is expected to be OK, police said.

The suspects have not been located. CMPD has not released any suspect information at this time.
