State leaders, health care advocates to hold Biden-Harris campaign event in Charlotte Friday

Friday marks the 14th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act becoming law.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Friday, representatives from the Biden-Harris campaign will be holding press conferences in Charlotte and Greensboro. 

The campaign events are taking place on the 14th anniversary of the day the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law.

Speakers at the Charlotte campaign event include former U.S. Congressman G.K Butterfield, North Carolina State Rep. and nurse Diamond Staton-Williams, along with health care advocates.

Butterfield represented North Carolina's 1st Congressional District from 2004 to 2022.

The campaign's press conference will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Charlotte.
