CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UPDATE: As of 8 a.m. Friday morning, the section of North Tryon mentioned below has been reopened.
Crews will be actively fixing a 4-inch natural gas line today after it was cut on Thursday late afternoon. Currently, a part of North Tryon Street is closed where this incident took place. North Tryon is blocked from 15th Street to 16th Street until all repairs are made to the gas line.
16th Street is also closed from Tryon to Parkwood Avenue, due to the gas line.
Detour to get around:
The best route to avoid this section of North Tryon is to take Graham Street and then Dalton Avenue back over to Tryon to avoid this blocked road.
