Pride Magazine honors 3 WCNC Charlotte team members with 'Best of the Best' awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Throughout the year, the WCNC Charlotte team has continued to serve the Queen City, whether it be by seeking solutions for viewers, asking "Where's the Money?" or by giving back through community service. 

Pride Magazine, Charlotte's premier African-American magazine, recognized three WCNC Charlotte team members as some of the magazine's Best of the Best.

WCNC Charlotte investigative reporter Nate Morabito has told countless stories over the years that have reached Congress, prompted local action and resulted in recovering nearly $13 million in COVID-19 relief funds to WCNC Charlotte viewers.

WCNC Charlotte Evening Anchor Fred Shropshire is a pillar in the Charlotte community, including reporting on Bountiful Blessings Food Pantry, which prompted a viewer to donate a cargo van to the organization, something the organization desperately needed.
