Beer truck crashes into east Charlotte house

Medic said the driver was transported with non-life threatening injuries.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Fire and Police responded to the scene of an accident where a beer truck crashed into a residence in east Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

Officials went to the accident on Admiral Avenue and East Sugar Creek where the Miller Lite beer truck crashed into a house, causing a gas main leak. 

The first reports came in about the crash around 1:30 p.m.

Medic reports the driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. No one was in the home at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash has not been released. 

Piedmont Natural Gas responded to check the gas main and were able to repair the rupture.

North Charlotte, Charlotte - Video from Citizen user MCS1838 shows firefighters on scene and a Miller Lite truck crashed into the side of a home.

The cost of the repairs needed to the home after the crash is not known at this time.
